The Evolution of Earth activity is designed for print on an A0 format. Participants select an evolutionary moment card to place on the earths timeline, once all the cards have been placed in the correct positions a conversation of observation is invited… participants marvel at the many miraculous moments in the evolution of life on earth.
Participants are then encouraged to consider that although humans have only been here for a relatively short time, we are made of 100 trillion cells, 90% of which are bacteria and micro-organisms… we are made from the oldest life form on earth!
A great progression for this activity is then to lead participants in Joanna Macy’s activity The Evolutionary Gift of the Animals, which in turn can inspire movement lead creative dance to fully embody the gift of the animals into our consciousness.
